If you have been charged with Driving Under the
Influence (DUI)
in Kansas, you have two things
to deal with: the
Criminal Case and the
Administrative Hearing.  It is very important that
you
keep the two separate in your mind and
understand that what happens in the Criminal
Case is separate and distinct from what
happens in the
Administrative Hearing.  In other
words, what happens in one does not directly
effect what happens in the other.  Because of
the deadline for requesting an
Administrative
Hearing
is 10 business days, usually you need
to deal with that first.
